Why an hourly price?

Some people think that a flat-rates make more sense than charging per hour. In reality, the opposite is true. While we can always make predictions as to how long something will take, the strange nature of technology means that some tasks will take a more or less time than we might have guessed.

So, it makes more sense to charge you based on how long it takes to fix the problem. That way, you won't wind up paying us for four hours worth of work when it only takes us an hour to fix.

$60 an Hour, Every Day, Every Week

$60 per hour flat rate

At Sans Geek we have one price —$60 an hour — whether you need a hard disk installed or you want to manage household expenses with a spreadsheet. The clock starts when we enter and stops when we leave. You'll be billed for that time, not a minute more or less.

Granted, we do have to drive to your home or office, so Sans Geek maintains a half-hour minimum time. So, if your problem only takes five minutes to fix, we can either leave (and bill you for a half hour) or we'd be more than willing to stick around and answer any other questions you may have.

Cancellation Policy

Life happens. And at Sans Geek, we understand that. Just cancel or reschedule your appointment within 48 hours of your designated appointment time and we won't bill you for a penny. Unfortunately, however, if you need to cancel less than 48 hours prior to your appointment we will bill you for $30, our minimum fee.

Payment

We accept checks and most major credit cards. Just let us know which you prefer and we'll make it happen. For credit card transactions, we use PayPal, which not only saves paper, it also means your credit card number is seen by you and you alone, unlike something sent through the mail.
